Seeds for Haiti

Years of drought, punishing hurricanes, and decades of deforestation have taken a toll on Haiti's soil. As a result, parents struggle to grow enough food for their families. Entire communities live hand-to-mouth, unsure of how to produce sustainable, adequate food sources. But we want to change all of that by partnering with Operation kid-to-kid and World Vision. At Shipwrecked kids can collect donations in special seed packs. The proceeds from these efforts will be used to provide drought tolerant fruit and vegetable seeds for Haitian families. Not only will the harvest from these crops provide food for these families, but they’ll also provide more seeds that will provide food year after year. These donations also support education programs for farmers on updated farming techniques.
